About Lake Holiday

Lake Holiday was man-made, formed from the riverbed of Isaac Creek, with many natural springs feeding into it. After the Lake Holiday dam was finished, a legendary hurricane, Hurricane Agnes, slammed through the area and filled the 250-acre lake area within a few short days. The deepest part of the lake is 82 feet deep.

The residential community of Lake Holiday Va. sprung up around the lake and boasts a 500-acre natural park within its total 1,900 acres of homes, woodland, and lake.

In addition to the 1,000 homes in Lake Holiday, 679 membership lots and 198 building lots are available. Membership lots provide the owners with the ability to enjoy all the amenities Lake Holiday has to offer on a non-buildable lot.

The community is successfully managed by a community elected Board of Directors. Day-to-day operations are handled by the general manager and full-time administrative staff, along with a fully-staffed maintenance crew that maintains facilities in the community such as roads, trash, and groundskeeping.
